Save gas money and Save gas money news:

If you want to save gas money and increase your fuel economy with tons of gas mileage tips then this is the place to be.

If you live in a large city with an good public transportation system, you probably drive a lot.
So here are a few better gas mileage tips.

Don't drive!!!  (just kidding, well kind of) Walk. It may not be very feasible to run your errands by foot, but there are times when you can walk instead of drive, especially when going from store to store at a strip mall or shopping area. Get that old bike out of the basement. I started walking and biking this year and have lost 24 lbs so far and I am estatic.

Alright already, just park the dang car for Pete's sake. Instead of driving round and round the parking lot looking for that really perfect parking spot, park further away where there are always empty spots, you’ll get a little exercise, and reduce your chances of other cars dinging yours.

I hear about people having success with running their cars on water...and yes, I did say water. There is a manual on how to build an attachment for gas engines to use water for fuel ... so ... if you want to take a peek at something really amazing then just go to  "Save Gas Using Water" and go take a look for yourself.

Combine your trips. When making a run to the hardware store see if you can make other stops along the way. Can you pick up anything at the grocery store or mail that letter or stop stop and pick up your dry cleaning all in the same trip? This will save on individual trips but just make sure to plan to take the most efficient travel route from place to place before you leave the house or office. When running out on a errand to get something in particular, many times I seem to forget it. (senior moment) To avoid making extra trips, I make a list of everything I need to pick up before I leave. This always saves on gas when I’m driving, but also saves on my time.

If you have access to public transportation, why not use it? The bus may not stop right in front of your home, but you might be able to drive to a your local park and ride up with a public transportation hub. Even if it doesn’t make sense for your daily commute, hop on a bus or the train when heading to highly congested downtown shopping areas or to sporting events. It will save you a trip in the car, and you’ll also save gas money and on parking costs. I seem to always meet new people on the bus or train I get on... I love it!

And if you have to drive, then why not apply for the Discover® Open Road Card and get a rebate on you gas consumption and really save gas money.

If you ever hear of a gas saving product known as the "save gas tornado" I recommend staying away from it ... I've tried it and for me it didn't do squat for my gas mileage at all.
